I posted recently about getting a HDi Xantia and am pleased to say that I have just got one. Found a pretty mint 2000 model 110 with 55k miles and full service history. 1000 miles in and am very pleased.
The only problem so far is a flashing air bag warning light. For the first 700 miles it worked how it was supposed to but after stopping to get some change from the glove box it started flashing. I turned the ignition off and when it started up again it stayed unlit. Now it sometimed lights up and flashes but sometimes it doesnt
Anybody have any ideas or should it be booked in for a check over

Hi there njr
Which light is it?? the "Air BAG" light or the Side Air bag light. Thats the one shows a seat with a bag on the side on the right hand side of the instruments,
If its the latter, its USEUALLY the wireing under eith front seats if they have been moved lately.. Try, turning key off, go under front of the seat and find the ORANGE wire, disconnect it and reconnect it (You may need to remove the plug from its fixing on the seat). Try again..
As for AIRBAG light.. It could indicate a fault in the steering wheel bag or passenger air bag. I've not experienced a problem with them yet..

Its the main airbag light and not the side one. When it came on last time I de activated the passenger air bag and then reactivated it which seemed to put the light out.
Then next day the light came back on along with the engine auto- diagnostic light. After stopping the car for an hour there were no dash lights lit up and havent been since (2 days now). Maybe nothing

if its anything like my 306 HDI,
its going to be the cable going to the seat belt pre-tensioners under the drivers seat.
The one in my 306 will flash for months at a time, and not flash at others, for 2 years now, its not flashed during the mot test which is brilliant!
When the weather gets a bit better this summer i will get it done!
David.
