Its the same one that has been in the Jag S-type (and now the XJ) for a while now.

Fairly impressive, but not really powerful enough for that sort of car (and at THAT price) IMHO.

Source : Citroen Denmark, C6 specifications :
2.7 V6 HDI 2.72L/24V biTurbo - 150Kw/208Bhp @ 4000rpm - 440Nm @ 1900rpm
3.0i V6 2.946L/24V - 155Kw/215Bhp @ 6000rpm - 290Nm @ 3750rpm

Where else would you find that massive torque figure at 1900rpm ?

In a truck!!!

There are car engines that produce more torque that low down, but they'll be bigger and more expensive. Mercedes 280 CDI claims to have the same torque from 1400-2800 rpm. BMW and Audi have 3 litre diesels, Audi also has the 4 and 5 litre diesels too. None of the C5s direct competitors will have that much torque ;)

Apparently there's a new 3.5ltr V8 on the way for the Range Rovers, developed by Citroen. It's based on the 2.7 V6, and is supposed to sound awesome

3.5 litre V8 for Range Rover sounds interesting - will we now have gone full circle from PRV V6 which was 3/4 of a mythical V8 and suffered from being a 90 degree engine when it should have been 60 degree - to a 60 degree V8?

The angle I'm referring to is the angle between the 2 cylinder banks.

The sad thing is you could have the V6 in the S-Type Jag for £5000 less than the C6

From the backseat writer of the article :
There's a button that lets you move the front passenger seat so you can mash the poor soul in the front into the dashboard and wiggle your own toes in comfort
