Hi Folks,
How awkward is it to remove the top half speedo cable from the dashboard?
I had the dash clocks out the other day and couldn't see any obvious way to release the cable from the dashboard.
Any ideas folks?.....please
thanks in advance to your replys

Later '95 on Xantias have the electronic sender & electric cable unit. Thats why me guesssteviewonder7 wrote:No one ever replaced their speedo cable then
The earlier (like the BX) style mechanical cable is secured with a sort of bajonet (squeeze & twist) coupling. Old cables are prone to crumble in the plastic coupling when you squeeze it. Only remedy ís to replace.
I'd say on a '94 you dont go replacing just the upper half. Replace the complete cable run making sure you dont get a flickering speedo needle on re-assembly. The cable is a cheap standard spare part available at most aftermarket dealers.
