Xantia leather electric seats

Post by jgra1 »

hi all..

I am thinking of fitting a leather interior to my 1999 Hatch. How easy do you think it will be?

Presumably, I need to add the heated seat buttons, (although I am not too fussed with this).

I guess I need get a decent + feed to the motors under the seat.

Do i need a few relays to run from the seat switches? could i fit these under the seat to save a load more wiring running around the car?

I am thinking of offering £100 for the whole lot, in ok condition... (includes a bit of walnut) ?

Hi

You might already find the loom there for the electric seats & seat heaters.

PSA Peugeot / Citroen normally only use one cabin loom on the newer cars, It saves money having a few spare unused plugs then having a load of different looms made up

Have a look under the seats on in that aera hidden under trim for some plugs just floating around not connected to anything

I warn you now if they are heated seats make sure you check the heater works before you fit them, Its far easier to fix the seat heater BEFORE the seat is fitted to the car

We fitted some to a mates Activa....fairly easy. Just get a good supply to the motors and you'll be fine. The decent later style ones used in the Activas are the ones to go for....the VSX spec is very flat and un supportive IMO.

Don't know about the activa seats but the Exclusive 'series 1' leather seats are preferable to the 'series 2' seats albeit minus the airbags, but at least you can 'boost' the squab sides to improve support.
