Thats a really good price for a TD clutch, however its a re-con not a NEW one..I'm sure EBC are re-manufatures suppliers. Nothing wrong with that either..

I've just bought one of these,it's sitting on the kitchen table so I can't tell how well it fits/works.Hopfully I shall fit it by the end of the week.
A few tips if you are doing the clutch yourself ,the hubnuts are 35mm(I've got a spare 36mm socket ) use a 2 foot breaker bar to undo the hubnuts.A deep 11mm socket for the long thread on the offside driveshaft support bearing.
I wasted @40 mins looking for a speedo cable that I did not have
(electronic plug on top of the support bearing)

Whilst it's clearly possible to do the clutch without removing the driveshafts from the car (just pulling them out of gearbox and tucking them out of the way - Haynes shows this for the ZX, but the rigging of the shaft off the spring must have taken longer than undoing the nut!) - for the sake of 30s to loosen and tighten the hub nuts it's got to be easier to whip the shafts out - which also allows you to inspect the CV gaiters and ABS rings.

Nothing wrong with that -jgra1 wrote:ok point taken
i did two TDs and a 1,8 i Anders
on all three occasions i split bottom ball joint, and track rod, and undid Roll bar, and just moved shafts out of way.

Just keep in mind this is a DIY forum with owners skilled from novices to experts. So we go by the book and dont use profi tricks or advice from racing sport pits here
