DRIVERS DOOR REQUIRED

Hi, After stripping some paint off my drivers door, i now realise the rust is a lot worse than i thought

. So does anyone know where i can get a drivers door in dark green colour (code ERYMR) with no dents or rust etc etc. I have checked the breakers yards around my area and the doors they have got are either the wrong colour or worse condition than the one i already have.....Any help would be appreciated...Colin

I did say there was a VERY clean door available, mind you it was blue but it has now gone to that breakers in the sky..............

Hi, I have picked up a green door, a slight crease in it but nothing too bad. I could have picked up lots of xantia doors in various colours around my area but i only wanted green as i did not fancy paying to get it sprayed the same colour as the car.
Icedillon if it is the same colour as mine ( dark green colour code ERY ) and is of a mark 1 xantia, i may be interested. it all depends in what condition it is in rust, damage etc etc and where you are in the uk and how much you want for it if you are in travelling distance ?

I will have a look tomorrow, I'm sure it is perfectly ok but will let you know. Do you need the motor/window mechanism aswell? I'm in manchester by the way.

If you can leave the window and mechanism in that would be easier for me, everything else you can take off...let me know the condition and price and if we agree i will collect it from you as you are only about 1 hour away...Thanks Colin

Hi Icedillon,
Have you found out if it is a mark 1 or a mark 2 xantia yet, a mark 1 will have a large grab rail above the glove compatrment. If it is a mark 1, can you get me the colour code (white writing on bulkhead, drivers side engine compartment) and if the door is in very good condition and we can agree a price i will come and collect it this week...Regards Colin

I didn't think Xantia's went rusty, XMs dont, or at least, none of mine have!

Any metal panel on any car without proper care will go rusty, not all the bodywork on a xantia is fibreglass, so thats why i need a door.I have just put another drivers door on for now which has a crease on the bottom of it, it will do for now until i can get a rust and damage free door

Is the Xantia not galvanised then? My XM has stone chips all over it but no rust.
