Quick SL96 ECU Q

Post by rossnunn »

Is it a mappable ECU? by that I mean can you remap it to suit the engine?
We used to have a MG Meastro that did, I can't remeber all the steps but it was something like:
you held it at 2k rpm or something and that started the remap, you then rose the revs to 3k & held it there for 10 secs then back to 1k then to the redline, then went for a drive & it mapped the bit inbetween.
Is the SL96 similar? I ask as Im still having this slight misfire and can't seem to cure it, I think it might be fueling, but I'm not over at the breakers for the next month or so & would like to try something in between now & then

MG Maestro! The better version of the austin maestro, oh dear, still, my mate had a 1.3 version and he threw it around like it had no tomorrow and literally tried his best to have fun, but it didn't die! he still has it in the drive, cream coloured. the diesel versions are good too.
