dash lights not working :(

dash lights not working :(

got a call from my sister - she has borrowed my acitva

apparantly the dash lights stopped working when she was on the motorway


any idea`s?

apparantly the clock light went off first.

First place to look is the dash light dimmer under the steering wheel lower shroud.
It's very loose, and can get easily 'maladjusted'.

I'll second that. My brother in law had a Xantia for 2 months before realising why his dash lights didn't work.

yes it was the wheel - she had knocked it with her knee

BUT

the light doesn`t work for the clock.


bulb maybe? is it easy to change?

Once you have got the instrument panel out, its quite easy!

The clock just pops out, the bulb is dead easy to change. You might need pliers because the bulb is quite deeply recessed.
