Xantia passes MOT with fault(s) !

Post by steviewonder7 »

HI folks,

My xantia passed its mot today to my great suprise.I was all geared up to recieve the fail paper when I went to pick up the car because for the last week I've been trying to solve my abs problem on the the car.The abs just doesn't work and I was sure the mot tester would fail the car alone on that, but alas as I said it sailed through the test.I asked the tester if he could find anything that may need to be looked at in the near future, but I was a little suprised to hear that he thought the car was in good nick for its age and needed no work for the near future.
I do know I need to remedy the abs ,need a new nearside front suspension leg(its weeping) and the rubber coverd metal suspension leg turret (the one the front sphere's fit onto) is getting quite rusty and in need of renewing and I'm pretty sure one of the lower wishbone arms joints has a cracked bush.
Apart from that evrything is fine
Steve.
