Scrapheap Challenge

Post by Kowalski »

Has anybody else noticed that in front of the garages on Scrapheap Challenge there was a Xantia?

It was on its roof and had been scrapped but I was able to read its rear numberplate and put the numbers into a vehicle data search.

Bog spec, facelifted, LX Petrol, at least it wasn't an HDI..

Didn't see that, but I did notice some early XM wheel trims.

I noticed one of the projects they built used an XUD engine for its motive power. Clearly it did not come from the scrapped Xantia then...

No, it came out of a ZX, it was definately a turbo because it had the top mounted intercooler.

XUDs work underwater, I don't suppose rest of the car is happy to be submerged too. Don't try this at home kids.

In one episode of Scrappy Races (series 1), when they were in a yard before one of the challenges, one of the teams enclosures was built out of Citroens. Nice maroon XM, I forget what else!
