Quick ZX Q

Post by rossnunn »

On twin optic headlights, when you go from dipped to full beam do the dips go out? & are the fulls on the inner or outer??

I can't go look cos the ZX has no headlights on :(

Yes - dips go out. Not sure if mains are inside or out - I looked the other day for bulb checking purposes but can only remember that the construction meant that it wasn't easy to work out what was happening. I think I came to the conclusion that the sidelight bulb was not in the dip unit but I'm not sure.

main beam is the inside pair and i thought the outer pair stayed on with main, and with lights just swithed to side lights and ignition on you will also have dim dip

Main beams are the inners and the dips do remain on.

under normal driving condidtions yeh?

I ask cos my bro's 306 switches its dips off when you go up to full beam, they say that fitting a ph3 stalk will sort this so that got me wondering how the ZX's are done
