Replacement Immobiliser Keys

Postby iancook2000 » Fri May 04, 2001 1:36 pm

The Xabtia HDi handbook says that if you want a replacment key you have to take the grey security card to the dealer. There must be many such cars bought at auction without the card (it's not until you've read the handbook in detail that you find this out). What do you do then?

I seem to remember that they can trace key number by chassis number, they will require sight of the vehicle registration document to do this for security reasons.
