xsara vts cutsoff problem

Post by lazokotevski »

Hi!
I have xsara vts 2.0l year 2000 with magneti-marelli 1ap ecu.
Here is the problem:
The engine is working great but sometimes is turning off.
Electrical parameters - OK!
Lexia(injection) parameters - OK!
Throttle heater is dead.
Anyone have information about throttle heater?

do you mean intermittantly cutting out ? stepper motors can be common failures on these cars & dont usually bring up any fault codes.

I have replaced stepper motor with new one, engine ecu, speed sensor, temperature sensor, camshaft sensor, lambda sensor, double relay unit, Map sensor. Every interconnector is tested-OK.

Stepper motor is working good(changing additional air flow), i'm reading parameters from LEXIA and number of motor steps is adecvate to additional air flow.
I'm not sure about throttle body heater function(exept prevent throttle freasing)

Guess what!!!!!
I have replaced spiral ignition wires with clasic ignition cables(ignition coils are out-hanging) and guess what ---- engine run great, no cutoffs.
Any ideas?
