Changing the keypad code

Post by awg2 »

I have a '95 Xantia VSX with a keypad to enable the engine. I wish to change the code for the garage to work on the car.

1. How do I do it?

2. Is it possible to have a second (temporary) code for someone working on the car or do I have to change and then change it back?

AWG2,this is from my handbook.
TO CHANGE YOUR CODE,ignition switched on,
Enter your old code that is in the memory,
Press key C,
Enter your new 4 digit code,
Press key C to validate.
4 flashes of the green light and 4 beeps indicate the code is stored.
The 2 codes(old & new) are then valid until 1 is used to start the engine.

SERVICE MODE.
This mode allows the device to funtion with a 2nd code independent of your personal code.
Switch ignition on,
Enter your personal code & press key S,
Enter your service code & press key S again,
The green light will flash 6 times, with 6 beeps once it has been set to service mode,
The service mode is cancelled on entering your personal 4 digit code.

Hope this helps you out.I changed my code the other week ok.
Cheers,Neil :)
