Hi, please help
We recently found out that the spheres needed changing on our 97 Xantia. After reading many of the pages on here we decided to do it ourself.Rear passenger side no prblem of and new sphere on in about 5 minutes. Then we tried rear drivers side, not so easy it was jammed solid, after alot of lubricant and a lot of elbow grease it came of and we put the new one on.Unfortunately then we noticed that the fluid was flooding out of the hydralic pipe, the bloody thing has cracked. We can get a new hydralic fluid pipe from specialist dealer but were not sure how to fit it.PLEASE HELP

If it's just cracked and not rusty, you can brase it or silver solder it in place (with the hydraulic pressure released, of course). Otherwise it's no different to changing a brake pipe on any other car. Just make sure you replace the small rubber seals within each joint. The pipenuts are rather fragile, so use a proper glandnut spanner. If you havn't already got one, get a Hanynes workshop manual. They arn't all that hot, but will help you with basic things like your present problem.
