\further to this, have spoken to seller and apparantly the car has been sitting in that spor for sometime and the council have put a notice of intent to remove it on the screen.

If you bid and win best move it quick before the council scrap it.

Will and ecu off a non security keypad fitted car plug in and work?

I could try a non turbo fuel injected ECU on mine but IIRC there's no dice without the right one even on an emergency move the car out of trouble basis - the ECU contains ALL the entrails of fuel AND ignition and is particular to the turbo's set up.

However, it would be a shame to see the car Hi-ab'ed away for scrap even with rust around the sunroof and wings. Too good for that - I'll more likely try to rescue it though heaven knows I've a 'few' already...

Hey, hang on, my whole philosophy for life is that you can never have too many Citroens...

I'll not sit and watch it go for 25quid or go on the back of a council lorry to the tip either!!

I agree with those sentiments it shouldnt go for scrap or anything but see no reason why it shouldnt go for any particular price, 25 quid to 250 quid, it should be saved, If its the lower end of the scale and i can get it going i will go for it, I have been speaking to an ex citroen machanic today, he thinks there IS a way round the immobiliser, he is going to check his old notes tonight, apparantly a guy from citroen UK told them about it on a training course years ago.

We shall see :-)
