The Primary fuse panel in my XM seems a little awkward to get to. I've noticed some cars, you can pull the fuse panel out. For instance in my previous car, a Vauxhall Cavalier, the bottom part of the panel tilted, allowing you to access the panel easily. However, I'm not sure you can do that with the XM's, plus I didn't want to force it. Where it's sitting now, it seems it is very difficult to access the top row of fuses.
Is there any way of moving it?

The easiest way I found was to unscrew most of the plastic trim panels that surround it. What looked like one or two screws ended up being 5 or 6 and then the fuse I needed to check was under the bonnet
I would say that the interior fuses tend to be OK, but mine wsa one of the very few that had everything working - apart from the usual drivers window that affects all mark 2s.
