folded down the passangers side rear seat, only to find water under the carpet, i'm now at a loss for the cause?? , has anyone else got anymore ideas?, might it this be caused by a wore door seal? or even a wore boot seal?

When I bought mine, I lifted the rear seats to find a huge puddle. I got rid of all the water and noticed that the parcel shelf string had broken and was draping between the rubbre seals when the boot was shut. I fixed this, and it's been bone dry under there ever since (Did this 6 months ago).

well, this problem is really starting to annoy me not, especially with all this rain we have had
things i'v done so far:-
checked & cleaned drain holes for sunroof - OK
checked that nothing is getting caught in the door seals eg parcel shelf cord etc... - OK
checked the rear light clusters to see if any trapped wires - NONE
checked all door seals inc boot,
have found that the drivers door seal on the bottom has got a split in it & so has the boot seal, might this be what could be causing the water ingrese??
any other ideas?????

Have you checked the wiper? I recently found on my ZX the water was finding it's way into the boot through the small gap around the wiper motor spindle, where it comes through the tailgate. Have you checked behind the trim in the area around the rear lights? Water can track in through the light units. The stale air vents in the boot have seals as well, might be worth trying to check those. Just a couple of ideas.
