Wooaahh! thought you guys had gone forever!! C5 help pls

Post by ebod »

Hi all,
Not been here for months since the Synergie was offloaded in favour of a Kia Sedona.

Before I dropped the Synergie though, I did get my brother to buy a Xantia and my dad to buy a C5 HDI-110

The C5 is acting up on its clutch pedal accordng to pops. Its an 02 estate with 63k miles. He thinks its the clutch, but when he suggested the biting point was at the bottom of the pedal this didn't make sesne to me....unless of course its a hydraulic slave cyclinder which is leaking....

Do C5s have hydraulic slave cyclinder clutches? Anyone got any pics of how the arrangement?
cheers

I think the C5 has an annular slave cylinder, which fits round the input shaft of the gearbox, if my description makes sense. Which would mean replacing it could be a big job :-(
Has the fluid level in the reservoir been dropping at all?
