The local garage tells me it'll be 4.5hrs work to check the timing of the belt and that if the belt has jumped then the engine will be wrecked.
I rang Clemo Citroen service dept and asked their opinion.
He tells me that just one tooth out on the cambelt would cause a very noticable collision between the pistons and valves.
He suggests that I check that we are getting the high pressure required for the injectors.
Haynes BOL mentions a fuel pressure sensor and an ecu controlled pressure relief valve, but doesnt go into detail.
Does anybody know what type of signal the sensor sends to the ECU?
Presumably it will be either Volts or mA.
Cheers,
Tony.

Finally got the engine sorted.
It turns out the cambelt had jumped a couple of teeth and broke the rockers.
Had the rockers replaced, and the followers just in case, had a new cambelt and alternator belt fitted, all seems well.
Engine runs OK and sounds good, I've only done about 20 miles but everythting seems OK!
