Xantia dorr mirror (manual)

Hi folks
My new Xantia has manual door mirrors, but the drivers side adjustment is sick. I had a poke at it earlier on, and got the top door trim cover off (then rain stopped play!). One of the operating cables appears to have sheared off. So, anybody know if:
1) It's possible to get hold of a new operating mechanism or do I have to cough for a whole new mirror?
2) How do you change the thing (eg how many days am I looking at?)
Very impressed with the Xantia build quality vs the BX - there are NO rattles at all!. Performance (it's a TD) is someway off the BX TD though.... Roll on being able to afford to buy an HDi 110 (or afford to run an Activa!)

Don't know about the cables, but I'd have a look if the wiring is there for electric ones, if it was I'd be off to a breakers and snare a pair of them and all the trim bits to go with'em, the glass is also heated, very handy when jack frost shows up, you should get'em both for less than the cost of a new manual one.
Worth a thought.
