Knocking at the back

there is a knock when i go over bad parts of the rd wich is more than good rd i have seen a post some where but cant find it now i have not looked yet can some one give me an idea what it might be

You forgot to say what car you have, but the Xantia's I've had were prone to loose boot latches - just a fraction, but enough so there's a few mm play in the boot which becomes more obvious over bumps. Adjusting the latch bolts so it closes tighter fixes it.

It'll be the rear subframe mounts. There's an excellent post in the hints and tips section that tells you how to change them. Just about to order a set for my wife's ZX.

Can't believe I have just read this post... have just come in from adjusting mine, it's been driving me mad.... but I adjusted the two bump stop and achieved the same results.
