C5 Parking Sensors

I have a new look C5 and I am convinced the front sensors are faulty. If anyone has these can they please decribe exactly how they function on the screen as mine only stay on for a short while.

all the sensors activate when reverse gear is selected then the fronts remain active for approximately 5 seconds after the car is taken out of reverse.
