I have a citroen zx 1.4 (with manual choke) 1992. It has trouble starting, sometimes taking 6 or 7 attempts before it starts. It will also lose power temporarily when driving, the revs drop and the car loses power before it gains power with a jolt again. It has stalled on occasions. It doesn't seem to matter whether the engine is hot or cold.
I have replaced the plugs and leads but to no joy.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Something to do with the float in the carb??? A local citroen specialist near me fixed mine when it went, cost about £50. Apparently they need cleaning and resetting, and possibly a new part fitting. Any garage should be able to help id have thought. Only other thing I can think of is that the coil, ignition pack, and the distributor cap / rotor could need replacing. Id start with dizzy cap and rotor arm.
