Hi all, got a 1996 Xantia 2.0i VSX (Hydractive) and over the past couple of days the rear suspension has resolutely refused to rise with the lever in the normal position, it does however rise when the lever is moved to the high and highest positions; my suspicion is that the rear height corrector is gubbed but wondered if anyone out there has had the same problem and how it was cured before I buy the wrong part!
Cheers

The height corrector is responsible for ANY height chances. The fact it responds to your manual settings tells it's working !
What's NOT working however is the automatic height level correction. This is done by a smallish plastic link from ARB to the HC. Bet it has popped off, completely gone or has just split.
If you do a search you'll get numerous postings on this subject.

Hi Anders,
Thanks for the info; I did try to search for some info but got the following error message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e31'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Timeout expired
/discussionforum/search.asp, line 376
I will pop down below and look for the lever tomorrow and hopefully that will be the problem. Do You know if GSF do that part separately or is it dealer only?
