Sounds to me that the locking solenoid isn't working on the lock. I think you may be lucky and get it working by wriggling the electrical connector that plugs into the lock itself. If not it should unlock by pulling the bar that connects to the locking pin on the door card inside.

Tried the wires on the lock and pulling all the locking rods, even tried to unlock manually by moving all the levers on the door latch itself and stiil it wont open,
its like it wont release so the latch wont open.

Sounds like something may be stuck in the latch itself, stopping it from working.

I think it may be a two man job opening the door, one inside and one out.
Do the handles work or do they feel loose as in the lock being locked?

sounds like the "dead lock" is jammed, with the inner door panel removed you should be able to un-bolt the outer door handle.
from the outside you should be able to release the dead lock by pushing on the exposed mechanism, quite a common fault on the xantia.

you will need to destroy the latch with a hammer & big screwdriver.just break of that white cover you can see to get right inside the latch.

Get one from a scrap yard, it'll only be about £10

Had This happen on a peugeot, i guess the latches are similar. The way we got in was with the door card removed, knock seven bells os s*** out of the latch with hammer and chizel, and eventually it should give way, but you will need a replacement, generally from a scrap yard these are cheap (where I go it would probably be free).
