Fly wheel sensor / rev counter

Post by AlWilliams »

Topic now in the right forum[;)]!!
Hi,
Does anyone know about fly wheel (rev counter) sensors on the 1.9TD engine?
Basically, after a year or so of pondering I am now determined to get mine sorted. Presently I have a sensor on the engine that terminates in a three pin brown plug, unfortunately my TD ZX only has a white two pin plug avalible on the loom. Hence no working rev counter!
Are different sensors avalible which could supply the two pin termination I need? Or could the loom plug be the issue?
Many thanks.

As far as I know all xud sensors are the same, there are only two connections i.e. either end of the coil. If you have access to an ohm meter check between two connections in turn until you get a reading of about 150 ohms and that is the pair to connect to your twin lead.
