Help. On my way into work this morning the Hydralic warning and "STOP" lights came on and then my power steering failed. The brakes and suspension seem to be unafected so it cant be the hyraulic pump can it? Please!!

Drive belt ok but resevoir seems empty. It was checked the other day so it must be a leak somewhere.

DON'T drive it anymore! The suspension is 'OK' because the anti-sink is keeping it up. The brakes are working off the accumulator. Before very long there will be no brakes either [:0]
Since the light came on first and then the PAS went, this is indicative of a fluid loss problem. It should be obvious which bit of the car the leak is from, but the front anti-sink valve (under the LHM tank) is a favourite.

Thanks Richard It sounds like your diagnosis is spot on. I popped it into the local Citroen specialist (not agent)as they are just a stones throw from my work. Good on them they agreed to look at it straight away. Just came back to me two minutes ago to tell me its an anti sink valve leaking and it will be sorted by lunchtime. I dread to see how much that will be though, well over a ton I suspect.
