Ex 97 Xantia 1.9TD SX 144k
Ex 94 Xantia Dimension 1.9TD 199k
The 2.2 is 136bhp where as the 110 is obviously only 110, i.e. the 110 will compare on accelaration with the 1.9TD Xantia (the C5 has more power but is 1/4 tonne heavier) but will be more drivable because of less turbo lag and have better high speed performance, i.e. 10mph faster. The 2.2 will be a lot faster.
On fuel economy, based on the official figures, I'd expect the 2.2 to be similar on fuel to the 1.9TD Xantia, where as the 2.0 HDI you can expect to be something like 10mpg better (I say something like because this depends a lot on your driving style and the route you drive).
The 2.2 has more complicated suspension too Hydractive 3+ instead of Hydractive 3 (a bit like the way VSX Xantias have the more complicated Hydractive suspension that the LX and SX don't).
So, depending on how much you value speed over fuel economy, thats the choice you're making.

Brian - If you'd like the Sept 2001 technical info brochure I have it scanned and in PDF form and can send it to you by e-mail.
I actually downloaded it from Citroen then but after printing wiped the thing off as I didn't have much disc space then. In answer to another query and because I wanted to see if I could make PDF's using another program I scanned it back in last week and while its not perfect its legible and doesn't look too bad. However I do need an e-mail address - which you can put in a mail from this forum (click my name in the left hand box - and all will come clear)

Maybe of no consequence to you, but one is group 8 and the other group 10.

As you are discussing the C5 I would just like to add that as a 'Citroen enthusiast' I happened to be parked behind a new C5 which was being used as a taxi... a group of people were getting on-board and then would get out and retrieve bags from the boot, get back in and the get out and go to the boot etc... this went on for about 3 mins and it was interesting to see that the C5 was raising and lowering perfectly and very quickly at the slightest load change compared to my Xantia.
