Vibration throughout car

Post by Waxee »

I've noticed a small high frequency vibration that can be felt through the car (seat, gearshift, pedals etc)It's more noticable when driving but I'm sure still there when stationary. It doesn't change with engine speed or vehicle speed, or when I dip the clutch. What else turns at constant speed all the time ?
I've been under the car for a check. No visible problems. I'm thinking exhaust touching body work or engine mount on its way south.
Any other idea's please !!!!!
Thanks

Could be a baffle coming loose in the exhaust- happened on the BX and was infuriating because system was airtight and quiet!

The rear silencer box (there is only one) was replaced only 2000 mls ago. But good point, that doesn't mean it couldn't be the culprit.
When its dry enough to get under the car again I'll give it a check.
Thanks
