Play in Power S. Ram

Post by CommY »

Greetings Chaps/Darls/
My 1990/1 1.7 TD BX (1991) has slight movement in the drivers side of the power steering Ram (deffo not T.R. Ends). The free movement is happening under the gaiter or in the Ram itself. The Ram doesn't leak but it feels slightly heavier than it should be (and always has for years).
Is there any serviceable 'bits' that could be causing this movement or is it a case of putting a known good Ram from a 1991/2 1.6 Petrol BX that I have available (will it fit??).
Thank you all for you time and input!

I think all BX PAS racks are the same. maybe working some grease in under the gairer will welp? Inner track rod ends are available (used to be from GSF) wear would show up as a movement under the gaiters.
