if your seeing dinosaures frolicing can i have some of what your on,i know GS/As could be considered as dinosaores but they not quite exstinct,also if chevronics dont know the differants between GS and GSA adjusters what are they on,call them selfs in CCC MAG the worlds only GS/A specialists regards malcolm

You're welcome to Acrobat reader version -23. Question is will I mess up the whole network if I try and download a better one. My home computer won't run the latest apparently - but I must have another go now I've removed Norton Internet Security 2005 which seems to have caused me more problems than the virus its supposed to save me from. Interesting thing is that Norton was run properly latterly yet its sucessor claims to find a Trojan - curious.

Can I have one of your Part Number 19's please?!?!?
Chevronics have none. Apparently if I had asked 3 weeks ago they had a car with the relevant parts but they no longer have it!
Sods law. If you can let me know we can arrange payment/delivery etc.

I built a 1300 GSA engined 2cv back in the 80's.
What I did for my handbrake:
Gsa adjusters.
2cv cables.
2cv handbrake mechanism (the black bit the cables go to on the chassis)
I then got the original 2cv handbrake mechanism (the bit that bolts to the chassis x-member with 4x 11mm headed bolts) and mounted it, using a couple of pieces of angle bracket that I welded to the Ami Super chassis where the side chassis leg meets the cross member. I then drilled the 4 holes in my new bracket, and bolted the 2cv part to it. The location is such that it clears the exhaust etc.
I then got a piece of flat steel bar about 12 inches long I think, which I had to put a couple of slight bends in. A hole was drilled at either end One end of this fixed to the handbrake mechanism on the chassis via a bolt and locknut (left slightly loose so it could move of course) and at the other end it attached to the 2cv handbrake lever that goes through to the car, using a clevis and split pin as per original.
I hop you understand what I'm on about here. It was a neat solution to the problem.

when i had a hand in building one years gone by i used GS/A under bonnet lever,and same adjusters as you have on your sidewinder,i made a mounting plate up which i welded to bulk head roughly where the original would have been fitted as i think your sidewinder has.Then we built my daugters dersh fairly standerd but with gas flowed heads,GSA adjusters and coachwork painted in purple/lilac met about 6/7 years ago regards malcolm

I would like to publicly thank Malcolm (Citronut) for coming up trumps with the Part Number 19 of my handbrake mechanism. I can stop using a huge block of wood now to stop my car rolling out the garage!
The car is nearly ready for its MOT now. Only a custom made exhaust for it is the stumbling block. Due to holidays it is booked in at a local firm the day before we go to the World Meeting at Kelso! Cutting it a bit fine!!! My wife's nerves are a bit frayed!
I will keep you all posted on what happens.

Im still building up the dyane engine i plan to use in the 2CV :-)
