Lidl Chrome Trim

Would this fit on the doors on the Xantia? I don't know the size.

I saw this as well, I'm thinking about buying some to see what it's like because my drivers door trim looks pretty bad and some of the other bits aren't a lot better.

Hi Folks,
A fellow user recomended this site a while back for trim as he had used it on his Xantia
http://www.combicar.co.uk/universaltrim.htm
the trim he used was the 18mm at the very bottom, apparently it worked a treat.
Hope this helps.

cheap trim can be superglued in place. It wont fall off without taking the paint with it that way!

The strip material pictured on Lidl's website seems very like what is listed on Combicar.

I like the chrome trim fitted on the mk 2 Xsara bootlid - Im sure the real thing from our friends at Citroen would cost a few quid though..[:(]
Having clicked the link I had a mooch around, did anyone see the headlight bulbs?
http://www.lidl.co.uk/gb/index.nsf/page ... ight_Bulbs
2 bulbs, 3.99. apparently 50% brighter! I wonder if they as good as the Osram silverstar's I had in my last motor. Only one way to find out!![:D] I recon its worth a go...

Lidl's good on 4th July as well -- that £10 electric chisel/scraper they're listing looks a seriously useful tool to have for use on wood, cars etc.

You can't complain for the money. The bulbs are possibly not the best in the world but as a 'get me home' in an emergency then at £3.99 that's fine.

Im definately gonna pick some up, just been into my local motor factor to pick up a sidelight bulb and checked the prices for a standard h4 bulb - 4.99 each! So £3.99 for two is a steal......

Went in Lidl earlier and picked up the bulbs- these are the "50% brighter" ones- Im going to drive it up against the garage door and put one bulb in one side and compare with the old bulbs. They also had the blue chav style ones. Even if they are not brilliant, as a 'get me home' as Stuart said they will be fine :-)
Had a quick look at the trim, it looks pretty good to me...

I've had one of the trim pieces off my Xantia, and the Lidl chrome trim is too wide and too thick really. What is required is some silver tape with a mirror finish, perhaps a foil of some sort.
Apparently Maplin do some Aluminium foil tape for £1.99, its good quality stuff for PCB repair too.
