2.0 HDi engine - Xantia

Post by Rostami »

Hi to All,
The 2.0 HDi engine (DW10ATED - Xantia and Xsara) has two cylindrical parts that connect via vaccum tubes to the turbo. One of them connects to the wastegate I guess. Does anyone know what their function is?
Thanks,
Rostami.

Are they the electrovalves that control the wastegate?

Dear all,
One of them controls the EGR valve, the other one controls the waste gate valve of the turbo.
They use vacumm from the vacumm pump in the extreme of the camshaft, and are electrically controlled by the ECU.

if its a 90bhp model one of them operates the EGR valve & the other operates the EGR throttle butterfly. If its a 110bhp there is a 3rd one that operates the turbo wastegate.
