Two spanner job then! Excellent! Thanks for the drop link tip. I think I'll get a couple in just to be safe.
I note in the Haynes it speaks about disconnecting the LHM return pipe from the strut which is secured using a metal clip. This clip looks as if it's got to be cut to remove it. Can the job be done without removing the pipe or can the clip be replaced by a ty rap or similar?

no dont remove at strut end,leave on strut just remove body end as this is just rubber hose end push fit onto metal end at body regards malcolm
