Berlingo Brakes

Post by Pirate Gold »

I recently bought a Berlingo Multispace 1.9D and need to adjust the rear brake shoes, the foot pedal and handbrake have a bit too much travel. Is there an quick and easy way of doing this? and if I have to remove the hubs to get at the brake shoes, does anyone know the size of the nut holding the bearing and hub on? I roughly measured 38mm-40mm ?? Sockets this size are expensive so I want to make sure before I buy one.....Thanks !!

The drum should come off without removing the hub. At least it did on my old Multispace.

Thanks Dave, I'm sure your right, I've owned an old Skoda for so long where you have to remove the bearings etc to remove the drum. I take it the drum just knocks off when the wheel bolts and locating screw are removed?
