Front foglight adjustment - late xantia

Post by madmanbob »

Any suggestions on how to do this? Car is a 200 model HDI Exclusive. Haynes says that you can adjust the earlier model through the front grill but doesn't say how to adjust on late model.

Foglights don't really need adjusting as they dont have a directional beam, they should throw out a semi circle of light low down in front of the car.. [:)] .

Thanks for that, I know what they should do but a circle of light that is 2 foot in front of the bumber is not much use.

Hmm. Are they in a pre formed recess? (mine are home fitted by cutting holes) if you can't find any other adjusters how about putting some rubber packing behind the lamp at the bottom and using the fixing bolt tension to adjust them?

I'm afraid I had to remove the bumper to get to mine. I understand that if you just want to adjust them you can remove the headlamp above it and adjust with a long screwdriver, you know, the type Haynes is always banging on about that nobody owns......
let us know how you get on.

AFAIK you have to remove the indicator lights and then adjust the fog lights with a looooooong hexagonal tool (sorry, but don't know the correct word in English for that tool).
