All I can say is buy an activa although mine has a constant loss system from the rear active ram and some wierd electrical or ignition gremlin that means when I apply accelerator it seems to miss splutter etc and it refuses to idle I would not under any circumstance give it up for the world. For what it is going to cost me to fix its well worth it the suspension is b=rilliant the engine sweet and when it feels like it on the lanes a b***** brilliant drive. m uch better than what is out there on the market for the same money.
so theres my tuppence worth go buy and you wont look back.

Hi Born2die, the problem with your rear ram can be cured, you need to take the return pipe off the ram and get some compressed air and blow the line out, next get a nail or something similar and strech the pipe ould by a fraction of a millimeter, then put the pipe back in (its all low presure so its just a push fit). now clean up your ram and then see if it still leaks. this is a standard problem the line gets clocged and it wasnt big enouhg to take the return feed in the first place, this will solve the problem ut i would re do it every 3-5 years. i didnt realise your in coventry, i'm only in redditch if you want we can meet up some time, my cousin and his activa are baised at the uni there too.
the FCS is the 29th of may, you can email me at andyc@bx16v.com it will work now as the last time it was typed in it had a . atached to it so it wouldntt have worked (i have fixed that link too). on activanet you have to go to the forum, then under events there is the French car show post.

thanks for the advice as a constant loss system was getting expensive if you want to meet up thats fine you can mail me at tris@extraspace-storage.com as I could do with seeing a sorted activa so I can see the magnitude of faults that I will have to fix.
Love the car hate the faults though.

Yeh MY activa misses a beat on idle and has a flat spot at exactly 3000 rpm which some days goes but is usually there.
A local Cit specialist told me they are very sensitive to sparkplug makes.
Fit the wrong make and they hate them.

That is so true Osics on the ActivaNet forum changed his plugs while I was at his last time, it made a really huge diference, i know that our best engined car has those 4 cathode plugs in it.

I have just fitted some Denso plugs and it seems fine.
Seems that the Activa is sensitive to a lot of things.
