Xantia Reset Service Indicator spanner

Post by Chrispy »

Hi,
My car is in for a full service and cam belt etc today but not at a Citroen garage. Any ideas how to reset the service light spanner on the LCD display to 10k again? It's on a 99 Xantia TurboD by the way.
At the mo it's got over 8k on it at the mo anyway before the next service is 'due' but as it's getting one today anyway it'd be nice to have it fully reset.
Cheers,
Chris.

Press and hold the trip recorder button then turn the ignition to the normal running position (not start).
Hold the button while it counts 1 10 100 1000 10000 then release.
That's it. And to think people are selling this info on ebay for ££££s

I was amazed to find the information for how to reset the service indicator on a 306 is in the owners handbook! I wonder how many other cars have this information in the glovebox, with the owner blissfully unaware.
