Is there much involved in replacing the rear arm bearings on a xantia.

It depends on your level of expertise. Dismantling is fairly straightforward until you try and get the remains of the bearings out of the arm, but if you have a welder there is an easy way. Run a line of weld around the inside of the bearing outer casing, which will be securley jammed in, when it cools the casing will shrink and you will be able to prise it out with a couple of screwdrivers. When you reassemble the arm with the new bearings, fill the space between the two bearings with grease, then you will probably never have to replace them again.
