Synergie Rear Sliding Doors

Post by ktaylor21662 »

My Synergie has been standing unused for three months; during which time the battery has drained completely. I have several times turned over the engine after a jump start, but haven't recharged the battery. Now I find that I can't open either of the rear sliding doors; inspite of the fact that the buttons are in the up unlocked position. To open the car and start the engine, I have only used the spare key. If I were to use the key fob instead (which I don't have with me at the moment) are the rear doors likely to open? i.e., is there some kind of dead-lock system? Or, is this some other problem that you may have come across in the past? The rear doors were always very sticky. This, I believe, is a common problem with Synergies. Thanks, Kevin.

Try giving the runners a spray with some Wd40 or similar, and try giving the doors a hard thump from the inside.
