Hi,
Although I can get in through the front passenger door (ie/ left) of my XM, the central locking seems to have stopped working. The remote stopped working some years ago (duff remotes I think so use the key instead!) but I don't seem to be able to activate opening with the key either. Even from inside the car, using the passenger door, I can't get either the driver's door or the 2 rear doors to unlock by lifting the plunger on the inside of the door. Also the boot remains locked.
I keyed in the key into the immobilizer and that was fine, the engine starts fine. But still the central locking remains locked.
I don't think this is anything to do with the remote control, as it is such a long time since that stopped working, but who knows?
Anybody seen anything like this before and have a cure?
