On a ZX you might. But on a Xantia they aren't rivetted on but have nuts..............on the rear of them where you can't see and are recessed.
The specialist had broken the studs through the mounting plate and Araldited them back in place.
Anyone who can do it on a Xantia without great drama should challenge Harry Houdini as the best escapologist the world's ever seen or has destroyed half the car in the process.

i use a special snap on spanner to change them as posted in this thread > http://www.andyspares.com/discussionfor ... anner,fans
dont get me wrong you still get a few scraped knuckles doing it but you dont need to remove the bumper,radiator,intercooler or condensor & also the spanner is quite expensive (well the snap-on one is anyway)

replacing the coolant sensor was the right thing to do.....apparently you then have to reset the CPU because it has a fault finding memory!
