Citroen H Van

Post by AlWilliams »

Hello,
I have an odd request and I wonder of this goldmine of a forum can help.
A chap at my work is looking to get into H vans, specifically he is looking to pick one up on a 'free to whoever can collect' offer which are avalible across France.
Now, my question. As a slightly mad person[:D] he is looking to modify the vehical consierably, new engine (150 - 200 bhp), brakes, suspension etc. Does anyone know of somwhere in the UK he could ask for advice on the H van, pick up technical chassis drawings or (and this is a long shot) who has done something similar before.
Any info greatly appreciated, many thanks in advance.

I've owned an H van and I've seen one with a rover 3500 V8 conversion.
Not an easy job and not an easy car to pick up uprate, It will be very rusty on the free to collect basis and if you want big engine and brakes you want one thats sound of chassis at least. The brakes On H vans are barely good enough for the standard engines and gearboxex/engines will be difficult to mount due to the space available. He will need to think very carefully about this one.
