rear height setting.

Post by captain scarlet »

Is there a general rule of thumb when setting the rear height of an Xantia estate, such as 2" clearence between the tyre and outer wheel arch for example. As I have the rear of the car on ramps it is difficult to imagine whether or not the car would be level when off the ramps.
Thanks

There is a recent posting on the matter on this forum but I usually use trial and error and the fact that they "look" okay when the sills are roughly horizontal.

That sounds nice and simple. Just the answer I wanted to hear, thanks very much.

Would that be the same on the estate for the correct height settings?
