berlingo coolant problem

Hi there,
I have a 2001 Berlingo 1.6 MPV which is loosing coolant from the bottom of the radiator on the offside where the rubber pipe connects (then goes to the rear of the engine). I think I will have to replace the pipe and was wondering if anybody has done one before and has any help?
Also a knocking noise has developed from the front end which sounds like suspensions/steering although I cant trace it.....
