There seems to have been a hacking spree on a number of car club related websites recently, lets hope the site was backed up!

We did pay the bill, by credit card, and they deducted the money from it. Then we got an email to say that they could no longer accept International Credit cards, and we've had to fax to the Hosts both sides of the actual card, and a passport. They are now reactivating.
Apparently US Credit card addresses can be approved digitally. But International cards have to be approved this way...some sort of Fraud prevention. We'll be back up tonight ot tomorrow as their Accounts team don't work 24/7.

Some of the companys I deal with in the states are starting to do this too, it looks like international cards in the usa are becoming a real problem.

phew, glad i have a European host [:D]
Activa Net, BXProject, LUCC all backed up (i have around 5 years of backups for some websites!)
If it's really becoming that much of a problem then maybe it's time i get myself an American bank account? Any body suggest a US Bank that actually exists in every State? I'd probably use it in the mideast US mostly!
