I have a 2001 Picasso 1.8 sx with 30,000 miles on the clock. The auto-diagnostic lamp has recently come on (permanently) and before I book the car into a Citroen garage, I wonder if any members could suggest any reasons for this. The car starts and runs fine. The idle is a little lumpy but not too bad. I have cleaned the MAP sensor and the air filter and plugs have been renewed.
thanks

when the light comes on it doesnt always mean there is a fault.i would definately recommend a diagnostic check at any independant garage(citroen dealers will be pricey).i i were doing it i would check the ECU for stored codes, then erase them from its memory and then get the customer to try it for a few days and see how it goes.
