The official answer seems to be in the document:
http://www.citdoks.de/Bilder/239/X1X2_E ... tation.pdf
120,000 to 150,000 km depending on service conditions.

Thats very neat! You don't have one for the 2.5TD (DK5) engine as well do you?

Hi Activa V6
Thanks for the info. 23k miles to the "normal" driving conditions interval but maybe I'll change it anyway.
While I'm on the subject, what are the recommendations about service intervals for changing the oil in the auto-adaptive gearbox? Also is this gearbox generally reliable?
Thanks
Tony

The old 200bhp V6 24v in the original XM's didn't have a cambelt, it was on a chain, wonder why they changed it?!

Interesting. I like the provision of the 'Schrader valve' for testing the fuel rail pressure! - nice to see technology as old as the nut and bolt being used as innovation.
Anyone know anything about the PSA/Ford V6 diesel as used by Jaguar and Citroen in C6?

Jeremy,
I don't know much about the V6 diesel, except that it is also used in the latest Land Rover Discovery 3. I've driven the Discovery 3 that was driven by one of them, it was very smooth, and doing only 1900 revs @ 70mph. Not sure what it'll be like in the C6. The Peugeot 607 also has it on the french site, but not in the UK yet.
Cheers
David.

Jaguar S-Type was the first to use the new PSA/Ford V6 2.7 HDi.
This year, besides the Peugeot 607, Citroen C6, Land Rover, and the Jaguar, it will also be introduced in the Citroen C5, Peugeot 407, and Ford Mondeo.
