ZX Radiator

Post by chemexhants »

What is it with these things? Changed the original one 3 years ago as it was leaking. Even bought a proper one from GSF!! And now this one's leaking from the core. Have had lots of different cars in the past (mainly Peugeots) and never has to change a radiator before. Why would Citroen radiators be so poor, and not the same problems with ones fitted to Pug's?

I feel your pain. Mine was changed last year and within a week, it had started weeping (cant understand why as theres no pressure build up etc) I just cant be bothered to change it again, so I stuck some radiator sealer in it and just keep topping it up every few weeks. One day il change it (mayeb even before the guarantee runs out on it).

citroen make two radiators, new and remanufactured.the price difference is quite considerable.usually cheaper rads made by serks, partco are ok and last quite a few years.sometimes its down to the antifreeze quality/strengh.putting too much antifreeze in the system is just as bad as too little.
